Launching a new product on Amazon or another marketplace isn't luck. It's a process: from keyword research through launch sequence to stable organic ranking. I turn it into a system.
Book a free discovery callAn Amazon product launch is the phase in which a new product builds its first sales, reviews and ranking. This is where it is decided whether your product becomes organically visible or stays dependent on ad budget. Amazon shows products high up mainly when they match the search query and sell well. A launch has to deliver both at once: the right keywords and enough sales momentum.
I build launches as a system: keyword mapping, listing, pricing and promotion plan, ad structure and clear success criteria for every phase. What such a process looks like over 90 days is described in the 90-day plan for an Amazon product launch.
It fits new products of an existing brand, brands starting on Amazon for the first time, and relaunches of products whose ranking has dropped.
Product is live, campaigns are running, but there's no structured launch plan. No keyword mapping, no phases, no success criteria.
The first weeks were good (thanks to ads), but once budget drops, so do sales. Organic visibility was never built.
The launch should be profitable in 2 weeks. Without a realistic P&L model and clear phase gates, every launch becomes a disappointment.
Title, images and bullets are built for looks instead of search queries and conversion. Your ads send traffic to a page that does not sell.
All keywords in one campaign, no separation by phase and purpose. The budget burns on terms that will never convert.
Nobody knows when to raise the budget, throttle it or stop the launch. Without go/no-go criteria, mood decides instead of numbers.
No agency speak, no empty promises. Here's what you get.
Systematic keyword analysis, competitive assessment and demand validation as the basis for every launch decision.
Phase-based launch plan: Pre-Launch (listing, content, reviews), Launch (ads, promotions, external traffic) and Post-Launch (ranking stabilization, optimization).
Listing optimized for launch with all conversion elements: title, bullets, A+ Content, images, aligned with target keywords.
Daily monitoring during launch phase, weekly adjustments and clear go/no-go criteria for each phase.
Realistic planning of price, promotion and ad budget with phase gates: you know beforehand what the launch costs and how you measure its success.
In the first 90 days a launch is usually an investment, not a source of profit. This example shows how I quantify it up front. All values are freely chosen assumptions for illustration, not client results.
| Assumption / item | Value |
|---|---|
| Launch price (net, 20% below regular price of €30) | €24.00 |
| Cost of goods, commission (15%), fulfillment per unit | −€16.60 |
| Contribution margin before advertising per unit | €7.40 |
| Target: avg. 10 sales per day over 90 days | 900 units |
| Contribution margin before advertising, total | €6,660 |
| Ad budget over 90 days | −€9,000 |
| Launch investment | −€2,340 |
These €2,340 buy ranking, reviews and sales data. Whether they pay off shows afterwards: how much revenue comes organically once the ad budget drops? I plan exactly this with you beforehand and set thresholds at which we adjust the budget.
Preparation takes 2-3 weeks, the active launch 4-8 weeks to stable ranking. Total, plan for 2-3 months.
Especially in competitive markets a structured launch is critical. The more competitive, the more important keyword prioritization, content quality and budget timing.
A finished product, images (or budget for photos), and a realistic launch budget for advertising. Everything else we clarify in the discovery call.
That depends on competition, price and margin. You can see an example of the derivation in the worked example above. For your product I calculate it with your real numbers before the launch starts.
Only through compliant routes, such as the Amazon Vine program, good product inserts and a clean post-purchase experience. Paid or incentivized reviews are off the table for me because they put your account at risk.
Often yes, for example when the ranking has dropped or the listing was never built properly. Whether a relaunch makes sense we check beforehand, for example in a marketplace audit.
